These pictures have been taken at the Accelerator Test facility in Japan. They show many elements usually found in particle accelerator (the ATF is ring with a circumference of the order of 200m).

This device is used to create an intense electric field that will correct very quickly the position of the beam. It is used for ultra-fast (nanosecond timescale) feedback.
